FilmLAB is back with its 12th edition! This year’s “Weekend Jam” edition presents two short promos made by two emerging Asian-Dutch talents: Thuy NGUYEN (Stiletto) and Tenzing WOING (A Precious Shadow).

Stiletto (by Thuy NGUYEN) is an Asian-Dutch LGBTQIA+ story about a non-binary person who encounters an elegant but reluctant woman. When she begins to fall for them, a memory brings all to a sudden pause.

A Precious Shadow (by Tenzing WOING) follows a dinner conversation between Chinese immigrants from the 90s who worked and lived in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. The touching and tough memories they bring up reignite a journey of nostalgia at the dinner table, and ends with songs about missing home.

Two FilmLAB Alumni make a return to the FilmLAB Screening with their latest productions: Honeycomb (2022), directed by Haider HUSSAIN, and Outsiders (2022), directed by Rishi CHAMMAN.

The FilmLAB Screening concludes with the Asian-European Media Makers Forum, a panel discussion between established professionals and decision-makers from different disciplines of the Asian-European film and media industry.

At the PitchLAB Event, up-and-coming writers and creators will be given a chance to pitch their film idea as well as network and gather valuable feedback from their peers.
